This was only 37% of last year\u2019s results. Clarkson estimates the value of new orders to have been $ 27.4bn.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In the 1HY 2015, China and Japan were the main shipbuilding countries by number of new or &#8211; dered vessels. Yet, in CGT and value terms South Korea was still leading the market.<\/li>\n<li>The largest decrease of orders was experienced by bulkers. Their market share by CGT dropped \u2028from 33% in 2014 to 17%. In contrast, the containerships\u2019 share increased from 13% to 29%.<\/li>\n<li>Global production has remained stable with 1,348 vessels delivered in the first 6 months of 2015, \u2028accounting for almost 19M CGT. Deliveries were worth $ 45.9bn based on Clarkson.<\/li>\n<li>In the 1HY 2015, the global orderbook has slightly decreased to 5,809 vessels, accounting for \u2028106M CGT (IHS Fairplay). According to Clarkson Research statistics, the order value was $ 290bn. Due to the high number of passenger vessels European shipyards reached a 13% market share by value ($38.8bn), whereas the CGT share remained lower with 8%.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>During the 1HY 2015, new orders amounted to 865 vessels, totalling 16.7M CGT.
